The Product
Sven Health brings journaling, respiratory-rate tracking, symptoms, medication, appetite, mobility, quality-of-life observations, and meaningful moments into one calm dashboard.
Caregivers can describe the day naturally instead of translating every observation into a form. The concept uses AI to organize journal entries into useful health categories and connect structured trends back to the context and memories behind each data point.
The Challenge
The experience needed to support careful observation and practical decisions while remaining gentle, compassionate, and emotionally appropriate for people navigating difficult care.
The assistant is not positioned as a medical authority or replacement for a veterinarian. Its role is to reduce the mental burden of caregiving by helping someone remember, organize, notice changes, and communicate more clearly—without reducing a life to a collection of numbers.
The Process
I gathered records from conversations, journal entries, health observations, and personal notes, then experimented with ways to make respiratory changes, quality of life, and day-to-day differences easier to see.
I mapped the experience, established a calm visual direction, and designed the dashboard around daily journaling, health trends, important measurements, and memories. The designs and requirements were then developed into a working browser prototype and deployed for real use.
Conclusion
The prototype brought scattered health information into one timeline without losing the lived context behind it.
It reinforced a product principle that extends beyond caregiving: the best tools do not always demand more structure from people. Sometimes the better experience allows someone to communicate naturally and lets the system organize the complexity afterward.
